It also has an commentary thru the show (like Mikes), except with the Stern Brothers (Youth Brigade), and another seperate one with the editors. Alot of the shows were not really where they said they were, they shot some in cali and claimed it was somewhere else because they coudln't get footage there ,etc. They also clamied the church scene was all made up, they paid those guys to come down to somewhere in la and shoot that. All in all is a good adition to your SD collection.

Thanks for the welcome, Im looking to talking some trash and getting some new & old info about SD as well as other bands. Talk to you all soon.
On the Youth Brigade portion of the ?Another State of Mind? DVD commentary, Shawn does a great job towards the end of the movie explaining how he set the tour up prior to having an informal network to plan a national tour. He describes how he made the initial phone calls to people in the various cities, tracking down people who might be interested in booking a show, and persuading them to make the necessary arrangements. He talks a little about how to approach people in non-traditional venues about having a show. He also states that, if you?re a new band just starting out, trying to put together and conduct a ?do-it-yourself? tour like this is a great way to learn whether your band has a shot at long-term success.
The film directors do a good job of praising Mike for his honesty, particularly when they ask him to describe his average day. I liked their reaction to how Mike described his average day because, when first watching the film, that scene didn?t really make a big impression on me. The directors state that they knew Mike would be successful because he was honest about what he and the band were about and had a strong sense of how to reach out to people and help them, which is cool.
Overall, the commentaries on the DVD are good and worth checking out even if you?ve seen the movie before.
